As the years pass we are never quite the same person we were before. There will be people in my life now that were not there before and vice versa. 365 days; That is how long we have to define that age of our lives. It might be too soon to define 23 for me. I still have another week and a day before I can say it’s over, I guess I just I am just reflecting on what the past year has brought to me and what I have given to it… at the very least, I can say that 23 taught me the power of courage, the courage to let go… although letting go is a process, a process which I am still undergoing. I am hopeful for what this new age could be; that may be the most fun about birthdays… the anticipation of what you can do with that year. So I am setting goals and being selfish, because after all, I am still young, and I have no one else to account for but myself. So while it’s still me, myself, and I why not focus on making me better. Like MJ said, start with the (wo)man in the mirror.

…in other news, I have thought up a wonderful project for me to undertake 
and I missed the Passion Pit show tonight so I cleaned my room while listening to them
…what a fun night with new friends and my favorite girls. Driving home and singing along to this was priceless

Sometimes, no. always, life is unexpected. The more we can accept that fact, the happier we will be. Tonight was the greatest triumph in human relationships so far in my life. I got to keep my best friend, no regrets, no resentment, just love at its best.
