Oy, The last month has been a BITCH. But finally after much sweat, blood, and tears (maybe not the first two so much) I will finally be closing on my house!!!
I am so effing excited to get started on renovations and decoration… here is some inspiration

Brian is an artist who’s home is mostly decked out in vintage/antique/ dumpster found treasures. I truly admire his decorative style. I read about him and his home in this month’s issue of HOUSTON magazine. I love that he sees as much potential and character in someone else’s discarded, unwanted items as I do. This feature on his home also inspired me to not stick to just one color scheme to make my home eclectic but uniform.

as you can see, I’m all over the place, however, I will say that I must have a chandelier, baroque frames, and if I can find a cheap one, a fainting chair. I purchased a 7 piece bedroom set from a local charity thrift store and I want to whitewash it. My room isn’t too too big so I might have to be choosy with which pieces I actually use.
Anyway, I will post pics, when the house is complete. I can’t wait!
Oh and if you have the income and the credit to do so, I strongly encourage you to look into purchasing a home. Obama’s stimulus plan is giving me ( a first time homebuyer) $8,000 in a tax credit!!! Although I wish that meant a shopping spree, I will have to invest that into the house. Yay, for stimulating the economy!
