My pal Steph DT. took a trip to Chicago and brought me back photographic souveniers, which I love, since we basically live on opposite sides of the country. She has a great eye for finding unique treasures.
My grandmother recently gave away a huge bag of hundreds of scraps and full sheets of felt. If I had seen this before, I might have been more inclined to have her keep that bag.

I am Guatemalan, therefore she of course took this photo to show me these sort of PSA posters in Chicago, for Guatemala. I don’t quite get it but, hey, maybe I will be the next Guatemalan to make a difference, even if I am in the states ;)
In other unrelated news of not really news, I found this image that I had stored a long time ago from I believe Antiguadailyphoto.com, an image of a Guatemalan cemetery from dia de los muertos (celebrated much differently in different parts of latin america, than in mexico)

and another of the GIANT kites flown in honor of day of the dead (Don’t know where this one came from)
