You know that saying “one man’s trash is another one’s treasure,” well in my case this week it was one man’s trashed memories, my treasure. I have a slight obsession with history. More so the story part of history, so when my aunt, mother, and I strolled into this church thrift shop the other day, I was thrilled, no wait, fascinated is more the word, when I saw a stack of old photographs sitting in a basket waiting to be looked at. Why anyone would throw out their photographs is beyond me. I found some really amazing ones. I somehow ended up buying a lot with people and their dogs, or just the dogs themselves.
Here’s a couple I took pictures of.(yes, I lack a scanner therefore a picture of a picture is needed)

"May 15, 1917"- one of the older ones, well of the ones dated on the back

"Lady and Brody, Harbor Island, 3-13-48"
there are a bunch more. I can’t stop looking at them all. They really do captivate. I hope that I am not the only weirdo out there who finds these incredibly interesting. Well, actually I know I am not. Shorpy does too.
