Now, most of us are aware that Sonia Rykiel is the “Queen of knitwear” but there is another up and coming lover of knits, who is being innovative down to the creation her fabrics. Presenting Louise Goldin, “The Princess of Knits,” as I have dubbed her.
I had shown her work in my previous fashion week posts, but I wanted to take a closer look at this talented designer.

Here are some of my favorite pieces from her collections. She has only been showing in London Fashion week since 2008. If I were studying to be designer I would definitely try to channel her innovation as inspiration for my own collections. She took her art as a designer to the next level be being involved in basically every aspect of the manufacturing process of her designs.

the boys are looking pretty tasty so far… isn’t it nutty that my last post was for this upcoming spring and now here is fall fashion week? I think it’s pretty bonkers. Time flies when you’re having fun…anyway, looks like purple will be a strong color this fall for the boys, and I for one am loving it, different shades, different ways to wear it, even purple shoes a la Etro. Also seeing alot of chunky knits and sweater coats, which I rarely seen for men. And of course the structured sweat pant or sweat-trouser; whatever it’s name is it looks good and I am sure the men appreciate having the option of having “dress sweatpants”
Can’t wait to see what fashion week has in store for the ladies, fall is always my favorite.

Ahhhhhh… So much to do, so little time… and yet, still, I cannot find where to begin. There are so many things I need/want to do. I feel like I am in constant struggle between what I should do, and what I actually do. It’s hard to be stretched so thin, in the end your time is distributed to many places with not much left to yourself. Still, I feel like working this hard is making me more motivated and more creative. I guess it must be the fact that I work well under pressure. I have this secret list of goals I would love to accomplish. I guess it’s like they say, “slow and steady wins the race” I just need to be in the race. Anyway, here’s a little bit of beauty I’d like to share.

2006 was definitely a standout year for me by Balenciaga. Good to see it is still appreciated. This reminded me that I have one beautiful unworn chiffon Balenciaga blouse in my closet. Truth is, a) at this point it doesn’t really fit, and b) I am terrified of snagging it. :/
I guess I will make that another resolution: to wear the Balenciaga top B got for me like 2 years ago…Good thing its so classically beautiful it’s not gonna go out of style.

Oh hello, It’s mothafuckin 2010 guys! Where has the time gone? Seriously though, where? It might be my pms, it might be that a new year causes me to reflect on the past, but something in me said, “stay in tonight” and there I was sorting through old photographs, memories, feeling a bit melancholy when I recalled a quote from one of my favorite films “All memories are traces of tears” – 2046
So I decided that instead of wallowing in shoulda, coulda, woulda land, I was gonna look up more beauty from director Wong Kar Wai.
