I recently acquired these perfectly hideous creeper-esque shoes; they inspired me to make outfits work with them and of course one thing led to another and I bought this little black skater dress, cut some knit tights into thigh highs, and before I knew it, I looked like an extra from The Craft. If you are not familiar with this film, I suggest you watch it immediately if not sooner! There’s a list of films from my childhood which have definitely had a stylistic influence on me and The Craft is one of them. Anyway, so I’ve been obsessing over this preppy goth look, and mixing this style with that kind of ethereal boho thing. Sounds crazy, I know, but I usually find a way to make it work for me. Here’s another little polyvore creation I threw together inspired by my current style mood.

I personally lack the dexterity required to achieve this look, but I love it and hopefully with some assistance I too can one day rock this lovely do!

I’ve been obsessively looking at Wildfox co-founder Kimberly Gordon’s blog I Love Wildfox. I’ve always liked this brand and never really found a piece I thought I absolutely needed in my life, but this shirt and a lot of the SS 12 collection actually, is on my wishlist. Check out I Love Wildfox or just go to their site to see more!

What is it about Tiffany blue that makes anything just that much classier? For me personally, it has less to do with the store or the jewels which the color is synonymous with, but more so with the film. I guess Tiffany’s owes a lot to Truman Capote eh? Anyhow, I spotted this image on Apartment Therapy and loved the color scheme. I love how they incorporated the color without it looking too girly. I’ve been obsessed with interior decor ever since I moved into my new place a few months ago. I’ll try to keep up with this blog more this year. Things are a bit more settled and I resolved to publish something creative of my own at least once a month so what better place to do that than here.

File under: Model with boobs, cute gap toothed smile, easily confused with Georgia May Jagger and Lara Stone

I kind of need this bathing suit in my life
Thank you Riccardo Tisci, you have re-awakened my excitement for fashion week.

Boy, has it been a while. So much and not a lot going on. I treated myself to some coffee tonight, knowing it would keep me up, therefore forcing me to be somewhat productive. So far I have successfully finished creating/updating two different resumes and gathering photos of my work for my online portfolio.
This set of photos is from a Buffalo Exchange runway show I styled for White Linen Nights in The Heights, August 2010. I had such an amazing time pulling looks, fitting models, and watching the whole thing come to life, even though I was too busy in the back dressing models to watch the show. This photographer took some really excellent shots of the clothing. The show was both men and women’s, however the boys did not get as much love as the girls. Anyway, I am proud of this humble accomplishment of mine and have fond memories of this beautifully chaotic evening.
I can only hope that the success of this song, inspires people to research the original sample and appreciate the magic that is Otis Redding. If everyone listened to soul, the world would be a better place.
